Mistletoe and Wine: Office Christmas Party Time
It is the day after my office Christmas party and I am writing this post while drinking Berocca and eating a tub of ice-cream that I got delivered haha! It was a very fun night.
I LOVE anything with embroidery right now, so as soon as I saw this dress from Lipsy, I HAD to have it for the party. It's a flattering, structured fit, with intricate lace shoulders and an open back. The blue, oriental - inspired flowers are beautiful and make this dress very unique, as does the open stitching. I got so many compliments last night!
My clutch is also from Lipsy - it has gold detailing which you know I obsess over! I also liked the simplicity of it, and it is large enough for my mobile and makeup I carry around for touch-ups throughout the night.
For my makeup I used warm, golden tones from The Blushed Nudes set by Maybelline (I LOVE this set - 12 pink, brown and gold shades PERFECT for the office. I use it everyday), bronzed skin and Chanel Rouge Coco hydrating lipstick in shade 'Misia' on my lips (here).
I finished off the outfit with sheer tights (it is winter after all) and pale pink heels that are currently on SALE from Aldo now! I love the pointed toe and skinny heel- so comfortable as well. It was great to find some heels that match all my pink dresses also as they are very neutral in colour.
It's important when shopping for an outfit for an office party to take into account the venue - this should help you decide how dressy you want to look. If you are attending a black tie event this Christmas, long dresses always look very classy. Our office party was in a hired out area in The Folly - a bar near Bank, London. I knew I wanted something shorter to dance in, but an appropriate length! And boy, did I dance :)
Below, I have included links to embroidered dresses so you can copy my look for your upcoming Christmas do and if you use my name (Briar Prestidge) at check out you will get 10% off!
